Visit to the Ebe Stignani Theatre in Imola and Aperitif
Discover the city through its culture, food and wine
Take a look ‘behind the scenes’ of this now-renovated stunning 19th century theatre built by the architect Giuseppe Magistretti, formerly the church of San Francesco di Imola. Once a place of worship, it was converted into a performance venue and opened its doors in August 1812. The theatre is embellished with artwork by Felice Giani, a masterful interpreter of neoclassicism, and his partner Gaetano Bertolani. At present the theatre is hosting a season of prose, as well as concerts and other events.
At the end of the visit the participants will be treated to a taste of Imola’s local food and wine in the theatre foyer.
