Dante’s Freeride

E-MTB excursion of 180 kilometers, along 4 stops in balance between history and literature, following the traces of the places and names mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy.

This bike itinerary connects Imola to Castel del Rio, Palazzuolo sul Senio, Borgo San Lorenzo and Brisighella and along the way there will be a stretch by train, called Dante’s Train that connects Florence to Brisighella; it’s a tour inspired to Dante’s twisted biography, who lived or stayed in various centers of this area: Florence, Bologna, Forlì and obviously Ravenna, where he died in 1321.

Itinerary on 4 stages that includes departure by bike in the morning, stop for lunch along the way, passages in panoramic points and arrival in the afternoon at the accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Stage 1: Imola – Castel del Rio (66 km)
Stage 2: Castel del Rio – Palazzuolo sul Senio (39.7 km)
Stage 3: Palazzuolo sul Senio – Borgo San Lorenzo (36.2 km)
Stage 4: Dante’s train -> >From Borgo San Lorenzo to Brisighella by train and then the final stage by bike from Brisighella to Imola (45 km)

The itinerary can be implemented by adding an additional stop in Florence using Dante’s Train
