SORELLE FESTIVAL RETURNS IN A SPECIAL OFF EDITION IN NOVEMBERCon – Fine it’s aSite-specific installation created by Laura Guilda for the Rocca di Riolo. The work, as the title suggests, explores a marked separation zone and the idea of something’s end, thus relating the themes of protection and annihilation. The work, structured in the form of suspended filaments, explores the concept of space and crossing, with particular attention to the idea of boundaries. It aims to raise awareness of gender violence by materializing the idea of consent. Crossing boundaries means crossing a threshold, while stopping is an invitation to reflect. The threshold, understood as a border zone, constitutes a line with a dual nature that forces the individual to take a position and acknowledge his responsibilities. Red and pink suggest contrasting meanings, representing love and violence, the superfluous or the frivolous and the feminine, suggesting different facets of the female condition today.
