Faenza, City of Ceramics and the Palio of Niballo<\/h2>\n

Faenza is the city of ceramics, known around the world for its precious handmade and painted majolica using ancient techniques that were made famous during the renaissance. The great reenactment of the Palio di Niballo, also going back to the days of the Renaissance, takes place every year at the end of June in the 5 rioni (districts of a town) in which the city is divided.<\/p>\n

Visit the International Museum of Ceramics (the most important one in Italy!) and an artisanal workshop where you can see real ceramists at work. Stroll in the old town center through its elegant piazza, the Duomo, the Palazzo Comunale and the Neoclassic Museum (Museo dell\u2019Et\u00e0 Neoclassica) in Romgna.<\/p>\n

Visit the seat of a rione (district of a town) and the quaint Museum of the Palio. Dine in a rione to join the celebrations and competition.<\/p>\n
