{"id":14811,"date":"2024-03-18T17:39:02","date_gmt":"2024-03-18T16:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.imolafaenza.it\/?p=14811"},"modified":"2024-03-18T17:39:02","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T16:39:02","slug":"acque-minerali-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imolafaenza.it\/en\/what-to-do\/acque-minerali-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Acque Minerali Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>A park in the track<\/h5>\n<p><em>Parco delle Acque minerali<\/em>\u00a0(mineral waters park) is located south-west of the city, and is entirely encircled by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imolafaenza.it\/en\/what-to-do\/international-racetrack-enzo-and-dino-ferrari\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Racetrack Enzo and Dino Ferrari<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Its origins go back to the discovery of healing springs of sulphurous waters by Dr. Gioacchino Cerchiari in 1830. The discovery gave the site immediate popularity.<br \/>\nIn 1871 the Municipality of Imola transformed the area into an official park, creating avenues and flower beds in accordance with the English model.<br \/>\nCurrently the park stretches over 11 hectares covered with a rich arboreal composition of native and exotic species.<\/p>\n<p>Inside there is a wooded hill called \u201cMonte Castellaccio,\u201d site of the first prehistoric settlements in the area.<br \/>\nFollowing redevelopment work that was completed in spring of 2000, the park now contains two play areas for children, a guided educational-geological path that goes up to the summit of Monte Castellaccio, a pond with waterfowl, and a fountain at the North entrance.<br \/>\nIn the west part of the park, there is the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imolafaenza.it\/en\/what-to-do\/ayrton-senna-memorial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ayrton Senna Memorial<\/a>, a monument to the Brazilian racing champion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A park in the track Parco delle Acque minerali\u00a0(mineral waters  [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":15336,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_crsspst_to_wwwterremotoriit":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[136,154,134],"tags":[185,301],"class_list":["post-14811","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-if-you-enjoy-exploring-en","category-places","category-what-to-do","tag-imola-en","tag-park"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 -
