Santerno Cycling Route opening

July 10th is the day the Santerno Cycling Route will be officially inaugurated. 44km in pure awe through the towns of Mordano, Imola, Casalfiumanese, Borgo Tossignano, Fontanelice and Castel del Rio. This itinerary is part of Bicipolitana of Bologna Metropolitana: beautiful landscapes along the Santerno river, through Regional Park of Vena del Gesso Romagnola.

Programme of the day
At h 4pm, Institutions will meet in Enzo e Dino Ferrari Racetrack in Imola, to present the path and itinerary of the cycling route, along with the touristic importance of the infrastructure;
h 6:30pm, the celebrations start in two different locations. Imola and Mordano will party in San Prospero, with food stands and concerts, while the “hilly towns” of Casalfiumanese, Fontanelice, Borgo Tossignano and Castel del Rio will celebrate at Casa del Fiume, visitors’ centre of the Regional Park Vena del Gesso Romagnola.

05.30 am: Il Suono dell’alba (the sound of sunrise), concerto by the riverside in Fontanelice
From 9.00 to 20.00: Open Day in Castel del Rio Bike Area – Castel del Rio
At 17.30: visit to Casale Cross, presentation of the project to create a MTB track.
